Welcome to FlopIt, a poker hand replay social network provided by Optima Software. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when using FlopIt. FlopIt is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age; if you believe we have, contact us at optimasoftwarellc@gmail.com.
By registering for FlopIt, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Acceptance of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy is mandatory for registration and use of the service.
1. User Consent and Registration
FlopIt relies on user consent for data collection and processing. During the registration process, users must explicitly accept the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy to create an account. Without this acceptance, registration cannot proceed, and access to FlopIt's features will not be granted.
2. Data Collection and Usage
FlopIt collects the following types of data:
Account Information: Username, email address, and profile details (such as display name, avatar, and bio) are collected for account creation and management, as well as the country the user is in.
Poker Hand and Activity Data: Hand histories, replays, posts, comments, likes, and group activity that you create or interact with within the app.
Usage and Analytics Data: This includes user interactions with the app, session metrics, and generated analytics to enhance user experience and recommendations.
Navigation Data: Information such as IP address, device type, and interaction logs is collected to improve the platform's performance and security.
Location Data: If available, we may collect location data via analytics tools such as PostHog to better understand how users interact with the app and improve user experience.
Session Management: FlopIt uses JSON Web Tokens (JWT), stored on the user's device, to maintain active sessions and ensure secure authentication.
Sign-In Provider Data: If you sign in using Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information (such as name and email) from that provider, as permitted by your account settings.
Device and Advertising Identifiers: We collect device identifiers (including Android ID, IDFA, and GAID) via the Meta (Facebook) SDK and PostHog SDK, which activate automatically when the app is launched.
3. Third-Party Data Sharing
FlopIt uses third-party SDKs that receive certain user data directly from the app. This section describes what is shared, with whom, and why.
Meta (Facebook) SDK: On app launch, FlopIt shares device and advertising identifiers (including IDFA/GAID and Android ID) with Meta Platforms, Inc. This data is used for advertising and marketing analytics, including ad performance measurement. Meta may process this data under its own privacy policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/) and may use it for purposes beyond providing services to FlopIt, including its own advertising products. Where required by your device platform, you may limit ad tracking through your device's privacy settings (for example, "Allow Apps to Request to Track" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).
PostHog: FlopIt uses PostHog to analyze in-app user behavior, including navigation events, feature interactions, hand replays, feed browsing, and other in-app activity. PostHog receives this data directly from the app and processes it on our behalf as a data processor under our agreement with them.
No Advertising Data Sales: FlopIt does not sell user data. The data described above is shared with the named service providers strictly for the purposes stated, and not disclosed to any other advertisers or third parties beyond Meta and PostHog.
4. Data Usage for Recommendations
Recommendation features may use user history and analytics data to provide personalized hand and content suggestions and improve your experience. This processing is performed internally by FlopIt and is separate from the third-party sharing described in Section 3.
Behavioral analytics data collected via PostHog is used internally to improve platform usability and the overall user experience, in addition to being processed by PostHog as described above.
5. Payment Processing and Transactions
FlopIt does not process or store payment card data on its own servers. All transactions, including subscriptions and billing, are handled securely through third-party services:
RevenueCat: Manages subscription analytics and purchase verification.
Google Play Store and Apple App Store: Handle payment processing in compliance with their respective policies.
6. Data Access, Rectification, and Deletion
Users have control over their personal data through the settings in the app, where applicable:
Access: Users can view their stored account and usage data.
Rectification: Users can update or modify their account details.
Deletion: Users can permanently delete their account, which will result in the erasure of associated data from our primary systems in accordance with our retention and backup policies.
Public User Content, such as posted hands, replies, and comments, may be retained or anonymized as needed to preserve the integrity of conversations and the Service for other users, even after account deletion.
7. Account Deletion and Grace Period
When a user requests account deletion, their data is processed for removal from our systems according to our policies. Where applicable, there may be a short grace period in which the user can recover their account if the deletion was requested in error. After that period, the data may not be restored.
8. Data Storage and Security
We retain user data in the following manner:
Cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS): User data may be securely stored on cloud servers operated by reputable providers.
International data transfers: If third-party services store data in regions outside your country, we work to ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law, including GDPR where it applies.
Encryption and Security Measures: We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
9. Compliance with GDPR and User Rights
Where applicable, FlopIt respects the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Users may have the right to:
Request a copy of their stored data.
Modify or update their personal information.
Delete their account and associated data.
Withdraw consent for certain processing activities where consent is the legal basis.
10. Public Visibility of Content
FlopIt is a social platform. Content you create or post, such as poker hands, replays, comments, profile information, and group activity, may be visible to other users of the Service. If you choose to share a hand using a public link (for example, flopit.app/hand/[id]), that content may also be viewable by people who do not have a FlopIt account. You should consider this visibility before posting any content you wish to keep private.
By using FlopIt, users acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
